Developing Practice Ready Nurses
In March 2020, in response to the pandemic, NovEx Novice to Expert Learning brought two Medical Surgical Virtual Clinical Simulations online to assist academic programs to provide authentic clinical experiences. NovEx replaced the clinicals that students lost when hospitals closed their doors. Since that time, NovEx provides five courses (including Fundamentals) with the intent to respond to the desperate call for Pediatrics. Academic integration of NovEx has dramatically changed since early 2020. With a 92% retention rate of our schools, faculty now depend on the insights gained from NovEx’s Performance Analytics reports about the clinical thinking and judgment of each individual student. Faculty are now permanently integrating NovEx into their curricula as it is transforming their ability to reach meaningful clinical outcomes that demonstrate practice readiness.
